The Security Policy Database of the Cadet and Officer Corps Association has been updated

The Security Policy Database of the Cadet and Officer Corps Association has been updated. The data bank is updated and supplemented regularly to keep the information up to date. The previous update was made in December 2023. This time, updates and additions have been made specifically to information related to Finland and Global security challenges.

The purpose of the data bank is to support teaching in schools and security policy courses, to serve as a security policy information directory, to serve as source material for the Turpotietäjä -competition for upper secondary school students, and to serve all citizens in information gathering.

The data bank has a total of about 800 pages and about 1,700 illustrations, tables and diagrams.  There are Finnish and Swedish versions of the data bank and a concise English version.

The textual content and image production of the updated version was once again the responsibility of Comprendum Oy and its experts. The technical implementation of the website was carried out by Nikolai Ylirotu (RhinoWorks Ltd) and Lieutenant Colonel ret. Kari Sainio (Cadet and Officer Corps Association).

The update project was supported by the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the National Defence Support Foundation, the Finnish Defence Support Foundation, the Marshal of Finland Mannerheim Military Science Foundation, the Uuden Päivän Foundation, the Urlus Foundation, the Security Support Foundation and the Thóren-Talvela Foundation.
